Moving candidates between stages
Drag, click, or bulk-move - three ways to advance a candidate.
Most teams move candidates by dragging the card from one column to the next. Two other paths if your hands are on the keyboard or you're working on mobile.
Three ways
- Drag and drop - desktop. Grab the card, drop it in the new column.
- Action menu - inside a candidate card, click 'Move to' and pick the stage.
- Bulk select - hold Shift to multi-select cards in a column, then 'Move selected'.
Rejection vs. move
Stages move candidates forward. To reject, click 'Reject' on the candidate card - this archives them and sends an optional rejection email from a template you choose. Rejected candidates stay searchable; they just don't clutter the board.
Every stage move is logged on the candidate's timeline, including who moved them and when. Useful when a hiring manager asks 'why did this person get to Interview before I saw them?'
