Deleting or pausing your account
Pause hiring by closing all jobs; permanent deletion wipes everything in 30 days.
ParsleyHR has two states beyond 'active': paused (you're between hiring cycles), and deleted (you're leaving for good).
Pausing (recommended for seasonal businesses)
Close all your active jobs and downgrade to the Bootstrap plan. You stop being billed; your candidates, jobs, scorecards, and team all stay in place. When you're ready to hire again, just publish a new job - everything is where you left it.
Cancelling the subscription
Settings -> Billing -> Cancel. You keep full access through the end of your current billing cycle. After that, you drop to the Bootstrap plan automatically - your data isn't deleted, it just moves into the free tier's constraints.
Permanent account deletion
Settings -> Account -> Delete account. We send a confirmation email; you click the link to confirm. After confirmation:
- Your team loses access immediately.
- Public-facing pages (careers page, job postings) come down within 5 minutes.
- Personal data is anonymized after 30 days; aggregate / anonymized analytics data is retained.
- GDPR / CCPA right-of-erasure requests are handled in the same flow.
Need an export before deleting? Settings -> Account -> Export. We generate a ZIP with every job, candidate, note, and scorecard as CSV and JSON. Takes ~5 minutes to prepare; download link is emailed to you.
